Contents of the Collection This small collection is comprised of four photographs and one map related to the World War II military service of William D. Dunham, circa 1939-1945. Each of the 4x5" photographs is black-and-white and depicts Dunham with an airplane. In three of the photographs, other military personnel are also in the image. Overview The Early Aviation Photograph Collection is a collection of unknown origins consisting of 328 prints and 299 negatives, all black-and-white, primarily depicting aircraft from the first half of the 20th century. Some airships, airports, pilots, and other subjects are also represented in the images.

Contents of the Collection The collection is comprised of a single black-and-white photograph. The image includes, from left to right, Art Goebel, Otto Timm, Charles Lindbergh, and Wally Pinero standing in front of an obscured aircraft. Handwritten underneath each man is their last name and the phrase "As of 1928." Next to Timm's head is a handwritten note "O.W. Timm." The photograph has been autographed by Wally Pinero, next to his likeness, in 1939.
